Dispute over Thomas Kinkade Estate Settled
The widow of the late Thomas Kinkade and his girlfriend, Amy Pinto, reached a secret settlement last month regarding a dispute over Kinkade’s multi-million dollar estate.
Representatives of both women announced that a settlement had indeed been reached, but would not speak as to who would inherit the Kinkade’s mansion and painting collection.
Thomas Kinkade died last April after a combination of alcohol and prescription tranquillizers resulted in an accidental overdose. Kinkade’s girlfriend, Pino, claimed that she and Kinkade were going to be married as soon as his divorce was finalized, but Nanette Kinkade disputed these claims, resulting in a much publicized dispute over the $66 million estate.
The late artist’s work, and reproductions, led to an estimated $100 million each year.
