Fewer people are marrying in the United States
According to a new study, marriage rates are down across the United States. Only half of Americans over the age of 18 are married.
The amount of people who were married in 2010 decreased by 5 percent from the previous year. The report also states that those who are choosing to marry are choosing to do so at a later age.
Several factors are contributing to this decrease including being financially stable in life before settling down, completing an education and starting a career as well as new options for acceptable living arrangements that side-step marriage expectations.
Marriages can end in divorce for a variety of reasons and it is important to have the necessary representation in that situation. If you are considering divorce, please contact the San Diego divorce lawyers of Fischer & Van Thiel, LLP by calling 858-935-6211 today.
