Nebraska man behind on child support for 14 children
A man in Lincoln, Nebraska was arrested last week on the grounds of failing to pay back child support for 14 children. The 49-year-old man is behind on approximately $80,000 in child support that spans back to 1984.
The man was found in contempt for each of the child custody cases, and he received a sentence of 60 to 180 days in jail for each charge. The judge offered another option to the man in order for him to avoid jail time, and that would be to begin paying the child support by December 1 to the women that are rightfully owed.
On top of having 14 children he already pays child support for, the latest case starting in February 2011, the man’s name is also listed on 15 different paternity suits. The suits were brought against the man by nine different women who reside in either Douglas or Lancaster county.
