Pennsylvania Resident Turns To 911 For Divorce
A Girard Township, Pennsylvania woman has been cited for disorderly conduct and misuse of the Erie County 911 system. According to authorities, the woman, whose identity has not been made public, dialed the emergency services number and demanded that officers remove her husband from their home. The woman also stated in her early morning call on April 20th that she wished to divorce her husband.
Authorities immediately responded by arriving at her Shadybrook Circle home. Upon assessing the situation, they determined that no domestic dispute occurred and no assault had been committed. They informed the woman that her situation was a civil matter, meaning that they could not force the husband to leave the property. The two were then left to settle their differences on their own.
